The Amazon seller software graveyard

Updated 2026-08-10 · Seller Tools Hub desk · Editable in WordPress

Seller software dies in three ways: the founder sells into a suite, the Chrome store listing rots, or the company keeps the logo and hollows out the product. Annual billing is how you fund the funeral.

What we watch for in a review: (1) Can you export your keyword lists and PPC structure? (2) Is the Chrome extension the real product while the cloud app is a filing cabinet? (3) Did pricing just jump because a PE firm showed up? (4) Is support still a human who has sold on Amazon, or a chatbot reading the help center?

Helium 10 absorbed a lot of the “we should build that” roadmap — listing builders, index checkers, Adtomic, an AI agent. That is convenient and it is how you wake up on Diamond. Jungle Scout stayed a cleaner research UI and still loses the keyword war to Cerebro for many catalogs. Keepa never tried to be an OS, which is why it survived.

Ad-spy and POD tools churn faster than FBA suites. A TikTok spy that was “the one” in 2024 is a login you forgot in 2026. Do not buy lifetime on a spy tool unless you have already run a creative sprint with it for a week.

Our rule: pay monthly until the workflow is muscle memory, then go annual on Black Friday. Read /how-we-test. If a vendor will not give you a real trial on your own seller account, we do not write a thirty-day review after thirty minutes in a sandbox.
